We work with youth (ages 13-19) to develop their leadership skills and begin to set and achieve goals. This innovative and unique inside-out process, called Rising Stars, is designed to build character and confidence and prepares young people to reach higher in life.

Hear Rising Stars participants talk about their experience:

  • “This leadership program has helped me through many problems…very educational…high expectations…it made you take a close look at yourself…there were things that I used to do that I have learned to change…”–Traci T., Participant

  • “My daughter graduated from the program a year and a half ago and I’m still noticing the positive effects that the program has had on her. Since she went through the Leadership Program, I’ve watched her grow and mature and become much more responsible. She has set some goals in life and even asked me about my short term and long term goals for life.”–Patricia C., Parent

  • “We felt the program was a great success and goes a long way toward creating leaders out of all kids: not only the ones who are already recognized as leaders in their schools, but also those who might be experiencing some disciplinary and educational challenges.”–George M., Prevention Coordinator for County Dept. of Education

  • “My outlook on life is so much more positive than it was ten weeks ago. I have learned many things from this class, but the most important is that life…should always be valued.”–Kelsey M., Participant

  • “Thank you for being such a great mentor and individual. The program was amazing and… I want to let you know I soaked in a lot from the RISING STARS program. The ones who put faith in our eyes and ambition in our hearts deserve credit. Thank you Mr. Kieffer.”–T. Hiley, Rising Stars Participant, May 2013

It is not an uncommon opinion that today’s young people are less prepared to take their places in society than their parents. Our society is more complex, more challenging, and more competitive than ever before. An alarming percentage of our youth engage in health compromising behaviors, underachieve in school, and are without direction in life.

Do you believe young people are prepared to become tomorrow’s leaders?

Could we all do a better job of preparing our young people for life’s challenges?

The Rising Stars Process is designed to help today’s youth develop their personal leadership skills and begin to set and achieve goals while they are young.
